Description
The Hairy Auger is found in the Western Indo-Pacific region. It has a long, slender shell with distinct ridges and a hairy periostracum, which gives it its name. It lives in sandy or muddy substrates, often burrowing during the day and becoming active at night. It feeds on small marine worms and other invertebrates.
