Description
This marine species is native to the western Atlantic Ocean, specifically from the Gulf of Mexico to northeastern Venezuela. It is a small, elongated fish with a maximum length of 30 cm. It inhabits muddy or sandy bottoms of coastal waters, estuaries, and mangrove lagoons. It is nocturnal and has a diet consisting mainly of small fishes and invertebrates.
