Description
The granulated box crab or Isocheles pilosus is a species of marine crab that resides in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. This species is known for its granulated exoskeleton. They are usually found in sandy or muddy bottoms, often burrowing into the substrate. They have a carapace length of about 2.5 cm and are recognized for their defensive posture where they fold their legs under the body, resembling a box.
