Isocheles [Isocheles]
Description
Isocheles hermit crabs are unique in their relatively small size and the habit of selecting very small shells or other hollow objects as their home. These crabs are often found in shallow waters, hiding among seaweed and rocks. Their small size and behavior make them less conspicuous to predators and allow them to exploit a niche in densely populated marine environments.
