Globular Sundial [Architectonica perspectiva]
Description
Architectonica perspectiva, commonly known as the globular sundial, is a species of medium-sized sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Architectonicidae. This species has a calcareous shell that is shaped like a top, or like a sundial, with a low spire and a convex base. The shell is ornamented with spiral lines and growth lines. It inhabits sandy bottoms of the intertidal zone in the Indo-West Pacific region.
