Giant Red Mysid
Description

Gnathophausia ingens, also known as the Giant Red Mysid, is one of the largest known species of mysids, reaching lengths up to 35 cm. It is found in the deep mesopelagic and bathypelagic zones of the ocean, typically between 500 to 1000 meters.
