Description
The Pista macrodon, commonly known as the Giant Pista Clam, is a species of marine bivalve mollusk in the family Teredinidae. It is an endobenthic species that burrows into calcareous substrates and uses siphons to filter feed. This species can be distinguished by its elongated, worm-like body and a shell that is reduced to two small plates at the posterior end. It's found primarily in the Indo-Pacific region.
