Terebellids [Terebellidae]

Description

Terebellidae, also known as spaghetti worms, are distinguished by their long, slender tentacles used for feeding. These marine polychaetes build burrows or tubes in the seabed, from which they extend their tentacles to collect detritus and plankton. They play an important ecological role in sediment mixing and aeration.
