Description
Phyllonotus globulosus, commonly known as the Giant Eastern Murex, is a species of sea snail. Its shell is large, solid, and heavily spined, reaching lengths of up to 15 cm. The ground color of the shell is cream or yellowish-brown, with a white or pink aperture. This species is found in the Western Atlantic, from North Carolina to Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean.
