Description

Ghost shrimp, also known as Atlantic ghost shrimp, is a species of ghost shrimp, recognized by its white, translucent body. It inhabits sandy and muddy bottoms of shallow coastal waters, estuaries, and bays along the Atlantic coast of the Americas, from Massachusetts to Brazil. They are burrowers, creating extensive tunnel systems. Their diet mainly consists of detritus and small organisms.
