Fusiform tube worm [Pseudovermilia fusiformis]

Description
The Fusiform tube worm, or Pseudovermilia fusiformis, is another species of the Serpulidae family. This worm is distinguished by its tube, which has a shape that is broad in the middle and tapered at both ends, hence the name 'fusiform'. It is found in various parts of the Atlantic Ocean. Like other species in the genus, Pseudovermilia fusiformis is a sessile filter feeder. It attaches its tube to hard substrates and extends its tentacles to feed on plankton and other small organic particles.
