Fringed Sole [Asterorhombus filifer]
Description
The Fringed Sole is a species of flatfish in the family Bothidae. It is found in the Western Pacific, from the South China Sea to northern Australia. This species inhabits the sandy bottoms of coastal waters and estuaries. It has an elongated body with eyes on the left side, and is characterized by a fringe of skin tags on its body and fins. It can grow up to 35 cm in length.
