Floating Physalia [Physophora hydrostatica]

Description
Physophora hydrostatica, also known as Floating Physalia, is a species of siphonophores. These marine organisms are found in tropical and subtropical waters across the world. They have a gas-filled float which allows them to maintain buoyancy. Their body can reach up to 10 cm in length, excluding tentacles. The tentacles are loaded with stinging cells used to capture prey. The Floating Physalia is a carnivorous species feeding on small marine organisms.
