Fine-Spined Sand Skate [Psammobatis extenta]
Description
The Fine-Spined Sand Skate is a species of fish in the family Rajidae. It is found in the southeastern Pacific Ocean off the coasts of Chile and Peru. It prefers muddy or sandy substrates in coastal areas and can be found at depths of up to 200 meters. It is recognized by its small, fine thorns and its relatively long snout.
