Eyed Flounder [Bothus ocellatus]
Description
The Eyed Flounder is a species of lefteye flounder belonging to the family Bothidae. They are found in the western Atlantic ocean, primarily in shallow coastal waters with sandy or muddy bottoms. This species gets its name from the large, distinctive eyes on the left side of its body.
