Dwarf Pile Worm [Mediomastus californiensis]

Description
The Dwarf Pile Worm, also called Mediomastus californiensis, is a marine species found in the mud from the intertidal zone to depths of 100 meters. It is a deposit feeder, consuming organic material within the sediments. This species is characterized by a segmented body, ranging in color from pink to orange-brown, and possesses a pair of antennae and palps at the anterior end.
