Dusky pipefish [Syngnathus floridae]
Description
The Dusky pipefish is found in the Western Atlantic, from North Carolina to Texas. They inhabit seagrass beds in coastal waters and estuaries. They are characterized by their dusky coloration, which helps them camouflage with the seagrass. Males carry the eggs and give birth to live young.
