Deep-sea hydrothermal vent limpet [Lepetodrilus elevatus]

Description
This species is endemic to hydrothermal vents in the deep sea, specifically along the East Pacific Rise. It has a small, conical shell measuring up to 6mm in length. It is known for its ability to withstand extreme conditions such as high temperatures and high levels of sulfur. It feeds on bacteria that thrive in these extreme environments.
