Description
Chascanopsetta crumenalis, commonly known as the Crested flatfish, is a species of large-tooth flounder found in the western Atlantic Ocean. This species typically inhabits deep-sea environments, usually at depths of 730 to 1,500 meters. They are characterized by a pronounced ridge, or crest, running from the area between the eyes to the lateral line. The Crested flatfish can reach up to 35 cm in length and feeds on various deep-sea invertebrates.
