Description
Common Guitarfish, also known as the Mediterranean Guitarfish, is a species of ray that is primarily found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. It prefers shallow, coastal waters and is often found buried in sandy or muddy bottoms. They have a distinctive body shape with a flat, wide head and pectoral fins, and a long, slender body. These fish have two equally sized dorsal fins and a large caudal fin. Their diet consists mainly of small fish and invertebrates.
