Cold-Seep Tubeworm [Lamellibrachia satsuma]

Description
This species, found in the waters off the coast of Japan, is adapted to life in cold seep environments. Like other members of its genus, it hosts symbiotic bacteria that oxidize sulfur for energy. It can reach lengths of up to 1 meter.
