Cathedral Searobin [Peristedion cataphractum]

Description

The Cathedral Searobin is found in the Eastern Atlantic, ranging from the Bay of Biscay to the coasts of Morocco. It is known for its high, cathedral-like spines. This species is found in depths ranging from 100 to 800 meters, typically on muddy or sandy bottoms. It feeds on crustaceans and other small invertebrates.
