Burrowing Anemone [Peachia cylindrica]

Description
The Burrowing Anemone, also known as Peachia cylindrica, is a small sea anemone that burrows into the substrate. It is found in the North East Atlantic, from Norway to the Mediterranean. This species is a predator of jellyfish and other cnidarians. It has a slender, cylindrical body with a large number of tentacles surrounding the mouth at the top of the column, and it can retract fully into the sand.
