Bristlemouth anglerfish [Lasiognathus amphirhamphus]
Description
The Bristlemouth anglerfish, or Lasiognathus amphirhamphus, is a species of anglerfish found in the Atlantic Ocean. It is a deep-sea creature that uses a luminous lure to attract prey in the darkness of the ocean depths. The females of this species are considerably larger than the males and are characterized by a long, slender body and a large head with a wide mouth filled with sharp teeth.
