Black and white snapper [Macolor niger]
Description
The black and white snapper, Macolor niger, is a species of snapper native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean. They inhabit areas associated with reefs, in depths from 3 to 90 m. It's a nocturnal species, feeding on fish and invertebrates. The adults are overall dark with a white streak on the upper sides while the juveniles are silvery with dark spots.
