Banded Pipefish [Doryrhamphus dactyliophorus]

Description

The Banded Pipefish is a species of fish in the family Syngnathidae. It is widely distributed throughout the tropical waters of the western Pacific Ocean. It is a small size fish that can reach a maximum size of 20 cm length. Its body is slender and elongated with a long snout. The body coloration is white with red to brown bands. It lives in lagoons and outer reefs where it can be found in caves and crevices.
