Description

The Auckland Limpet, or Sigapatella terraereginae, is a sea snail species endemic to the northeastern coast of New Zealand. It is typically found in rocky shorelines, where it grazes on algae. The shell is small and conical, often spotted or banded with brown and white. It is easily recognized by its smooth shell and the distinctive pattern of grooves radiating from its apex.
