Atlantic Weasel Shark [Paragaleus pectoralis]
Description
The Atlantic Weasel Shark is a species of weasel shark in the family Hemigaleidae. It is found in the western Atlantic Ocean from North Carolina to Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. It is a small to medium-sized shark, reaching a length of 110 cm (43 in). It prefers shallow, inshore waters and has a distinctively long, slender body with a uniform grey coloration above and white below.
