Atlantic Bumper [Chloroscombrus chrysurus]
Description
The Atlantic Bumper, Chloroscombrus chrysurus, is a species of ray-finned fish in the family Carangidae. It is found in the western Atlantic Ocean from Massachusetts, USA to Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It is also found in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. The Atlantic Bumper is a pelagic species that is usually found in schools near the surface. It has a silver colored body with a distinctive black spot at the base of the pectoral fins.
