Armored searobin [Chiridius armatus]

Description
The Armored searobin is a demersal (bottom-dwelling) species often found along the continental shelf in tropical and subtropical waters. It has an elongated body with a large, spiny head and a small mouth. The dorsal fin is divided into two sections, with the first consisting of hard spines and the second of soft rays. Its coloration is typically reddish-brown with darker markings.
