Argentine Silverside [Gadiculus argenteus thori]
Description
The Argentine Silverside is a subspecies of Gadiculus argenteus found in the southwestern Atlantic Ocean, from Argentina to the Falkland Islands. The species inhabits the demersal zone on the continental shelf and slope, at depths of 70-400 m. It is a small fish, growing up to 25 cm in length, with a silver body and a characteristic black spot at the base of the pectoral fin.
