Description
The Limnocnida tanganyicae, also known as the African Freshwater Jellyfish, is a species of hydrozoan found in Lake Tanganyika in Africa. This species is unique in the sense that it is one of the only known freshwater jellyfish. It is small and translucent with a bell that measures around 20 mm in diameter. The tentacles are short and not very visible, and it has a four-part radial symmetry. The species is typically found in shallow waters near the lake's shore.
