Midnight snapper [Macolor macularis]

Description

The midnight snapper, Macolor macularis, is a species of snapper native to the Indian and Pacific oceans. This species is a reef-associated fish, found at depths from 40 to 200 m. It's distinguished by its overall dark coloration, with a pair of white spots at the base of the caudal fin. The midnight snapper feeds on smaller fish and invertebrates.
