Pouting [Trisopterus luscus]
Description
The Pouting, also known as bib, is a small to medium sized marine species found primarily in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean. Its habitat ranges from the Norwegian Sea to the coastlines of Morocco. Pouting are demersal fish, meaning they live close to the ocean floor, at depths ranging from 10 to 450 meters. They are characterized by their elongated bodies, forked tail fins, and a chin barbel (whisker-like sensory organ). They primarily feed on crustaceans, small fish, and marine worms.
