Description
The Arctic Cod, Boreogadus saida, is a key species in the Arctic marine ecosystem. It is a small gadid (cod-like) fish that reaches a maximum length of 40 cm. The Arctic Cod has a slender body and a small head. The color varies from pale to olive green, with a silvery shimmer. It is found in both pelagic and demersal zones, often in association with ice.
