Polar cod [Arctogadus borisovi]

Description

This species is also a member of the Gadidae family. It inhabits the cold waters of the Arctic Ocean and nearby seas. It is characterized by a short chin barbel and long pelvic fins. This species is known to undertake vertical migrations, potentially in response to the movement of zooplankton, their primary food source.
