Bigscale lightfish [Ichthyococcus pusillus]

Description

The Bigscale lightfish or Ichthyococcus pusillus is a species found in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. They live in deep, cold waters and, like other lightfish, have bioluminescent organs. They are smaller than other lightfish, reaching a maximum length of 9 cm. Their diet consists mainly of zooplankton.
