Description
The Dwarf Lightfish is a species of lightfish, typically found in tropical and subtropical waters around the world. This species resides in midwater depths, often seen between 100 to 500 meters deep during the day and near the surface during the night. It is a small, elongated fish that can reach a length of up to 6 centimeters. Its body is silvery and semi-transparent, with photophores (light-producing organs) present on the body, providing bioluminescence in the dark ocean depths. It's a carnivorous species, feeding mostly on small marine organisms.
