Robust Isopod [Exosphaeroma robustum]

Description
The Robust Isopod is a small crustacean found in the intertidal zones of the North Pacific, from Alaska to Baja California. It has a rounded body, usually brown or olive in color, and can reach up to 15mm in length. Its diet primarily consists of algae and decaying plant matter. This species has a high tolerance for salinity changes, which allows it to survive in the harsh conditions of tide pools.
