Description
Hoff's Deep-Sea Roly Poly, also known as the Mariana snailfish, is a species found in the Mariana Trench in the western Pacific Ocean. It is currently the deepest living fish known, found at depths of 8,178 meters. This species is small and translucent with a tadpole-like body and flabby skin. It feeds on tiny invertebrates and has few predators due to the inhospitable environment in which it lives.
