Australian threadworm [Heteromastus similis]

Description
Heteromastus similis, also known as the Australian threadworm, is a marine polychaete worm native to the waters of Australia. Resembling its relative Heteromastus filiformis, it has a slender, thread-like body and prefers to burrow in sandy or muddy seabeds. It is also a deposit feeder and is known to thrive best in intertidal zones where it can easily access organic matter from the sediment.
