Description
Chaetopterus pergamentaceus, or the Deep-sea Parchment Tube Worm, is found in the deep sea, often in soft sediment. The worm is known for its ability to withstand the high pressure of deep-sea habitats. It exhibits bioluminescence, a trait not often found in deep-sea species. Similar to its relatives, it's a filter feeder with a segmented body.
