Description
The Atlantic windowpane, also known as Brazilian ark, is a species of bivalve mollusk that lives in the western Atlantic Ocean from Massachusetts to Brazil. It typically lives in shallow waters and buries itself in the sand or mud. The shell is roughly rectangular and can reach a size of 75 mm. It is known for its thin and fragile shell which resembles a windowpane, hence its common name.
