Pacific Oyster [Crassostrea gigas]

Description
The Pacific Oyster is native to the Pacific coast of Asia. It has a rough, irregularly shaped shell. The shell's inside is white with a purple muscle scar. Usually found in intertidal and subtidal zones on hard substrates. They are prolific breeders, releasing millions of eggs into the water column.
