Description
The Prickly Slipper Snail, also known as Bostrycapulus pritzkeri, is a unique species found in the Eastern Pacific, from Mexico to Peru. It is easily distinguishable by its shell, which is shaped like a slipper and covered with prickly spines. This species lives in rocky subtidal habitats and feeds on algae. It has an unusual mating behavior where males can turn into females.
