Description
The Slender Keyhole Limpet, Fissurella gracilis, is a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Fissurellidae, the keyhole limpets and slit limpets. It is characterized by a conical shell with a small hole at the apex. The shell's color varies from brown to yellowish brown with a pattern of radiating lines. This species is found in the eastern Pacific Ocean, specifically from Baja California, Mexico, to Ecuador. It typically resides in rocky intertidal zones and is often found in crevices or underneath rocks. This limpet is a herbivore and scrapes algae off rocks using its radula.
