Apple Murex [Phyllonotus pomum]

Description
The Apple Murex, or Phyllonotus pomum, is a species of large predatory sea snail. It has a thick, robust shell that can measure up to 130 mm in length. Its shell is often white or cream-colored, with three rows of spines. It's native to the Western Atlantic Ocean, ranging from North Carolina to Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. It typically inhabits rocky substrates and coral reefs.
