Greater Stitchwort [Stellaria holostea]
Description
Stellaria holostea, also known as Greater Stitchwort, is a perennial herbaceous flowering plant in the family Caryophyllaceae. It is native to Europe and western Asia but has naturalized in many other parts of the world. It grows in woods, roadside verges, hedgerows and grassy banks. It has white, star-shaped flowers and narrow, lance-shaped leaves. As with all species in the Stellaria genus, it is not a true marine species.
