Common Starwort [Stellaria media]
Description
Stellaria media, commonly known as Common Starwort, is a flowering plant in the family Caryophyllaceae. Although not a marine species, it is often found in coastal areas, particularly in damp, nutrient-rich soil. It has small, white flowers with five deeply notched petals, and oval leaves that are opposite and smooth-edged. It is an annual or biennial herb, reproducing by seeds and creeping stems.
