Description
The northern moon snail, also known as the necklace shell, is distinguished by its large, smooth, and globose shell. It is white to grayish in color, and is typically found in the North Atlantic Ocean, ranging from the Arctic Ocean to Cape Cod. This species burrows in the sand and mud, and feeds on bivalves.
